The preliminary works have begun this week as Club La Santa prepares for the major construction project relating to the new development of 96 apartments. Please see the video below.
Club La Santa will take great care to avoid any disruption to guests and will take steps to prevent any dust getting into the existing complex.

HTC's Lars Bak & Mark Cavendish

The International Bike Weeks in November are always really popular, as they give the opportunity for our guests to ride on the roads of Lanzarote in a wonderful climate and with great stars, for example:
• Rolf Aldag - Tour de France stage winner
• Tom Kristensen - Race driver
• Gunnar Asmussen - Olympic gold medal winner in 4000 m for teams in Mexico in 1968
• Herman - “The Artist”
• Mark Cavendish - Yesterday (24th July), Mark left the Tour de France as a winner for the third time, but on this occasion he also returned home with the coveted green jersey.
• This November visiting Club La Santa is HTC’s Lars Bak

A fifth win of the 2011 Tour and an astounding 20th in all on yesterday's 95-kilometre 21st stage from Creteil to the Champs-Elysees saw Cavendish claim the points classification prize.
On the two previous occasions the HTC-Highroad sprinter had reached the French capital he missed out on the maillot vert, but now the jersey is his.
The 26 year-old from the Isle of Man said: "I finally got it, but it didn't come easy."

This year our Danish friend Lars Bak has performed AMAZINGLY in his Tour debut …
Lars is 31 year old, and managed a 4th place in the 13th étappe of the Tour (in Lourdes) This year also placed 5th in Paris Roubaix!
He will be here during two weeks in November, starting Friday 4th.
The International Bike Weeks are for all levels (from 21 km/h to 30+ km/h)
Talking to Club La Santa Events Manager, Kenneth Gasque proudly states: “Lars Bak is the newest of the Danish cyclist in Le Tour de France and he has been the strongest man leading the peloton for hours and scoring the “Vikings power”. He will be the our super guide in the Bike week.”
