Work has began to resurface the airport runway at Arrecife airport in Lanzarote (ACE). The maintenance has been scheduled around the flight arrivals and departures which will not be affected as the work is taking place through the night. The project costing 7,564,427 Euros was awarded by Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea (AENA) to Dragados & Horinsa.
The runway, parallel taxiway and cross sectional routes will be resurfaced to include a superior tread. The project also includes work on the control system, landing markers and wiring.
