The Lagoon Pavement

Over the last couple of weeks the pavement around the lagoon has been repaired to make it a little bit safer to run and walk on.

Marathon Running Camp with Ron Hill MBE

Ron Hill MBE will be joining Phil Price and his team in running a Marathon Training Camp at Club La Santa in May 2010.

He’s the second man ever to break 2:10 in the marathon and set world records at 4 running distances throughout his career. Not only that but he’s on a streak at the moment – in that he’s not missed a day of running since December. 1964!!

Football Pitch Renovation February/March

During the period 18th February to 04th March 2010 (both days included) half of the football pitch will be renovated. Half of the football pitch will still be available for use.
Club La Santa say, "We hope that you enjoy and make use of the many other facilities available to you. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."

Carnival 2010

Puerto Del Carmen Carnival 2010

The main parade will be on Saturday 20th February 2010 if you haven’t seen one of our Lanzarote carnivals yet then you don’t know what you’re missing – they’re fabulous!

Arrecife Carnival 2010

The capital of Lanzarote always starts the island’s carnival season and the inspiration for this years costumes will be based on Michael Jackson in homage to the “King of Pop”.

The fun starts on the 5th until the 17th February with the usual carnival celebrations of fiestas, drag, murgas, batucada and the burning of the sardine.

13th February La Gala elección de la Reina del Carnaval – Carnaval Queen

14th February La Gala elección de la Reina del Carnaval – Drag Queen

15th February Mascaritas del Carnaval – main parade (16th February will be a fiesta)

17th February La Sardina Muerta – mourning parade for the end of carnival
